she's running, running away
from everything she's ever feared
yet wherever she turns
there they keep appearing
memories chase her
conscious or asleep she may be
there they lurk in her dreams and in her reality
she screams yet no one hears
she screams yet no one heeds
nothing but silence answers her call
nothing but solitude accompanies her soul
she has no more strength
there's no hope left in her
as she falls on the ground littered with her shattered dreams
broken reflections of memories she treasured once before
cut her skin yet she feels nothing anymore
as she succumbs to the inevitable dark end
